We’re looking for individuals with experience and drive in one or more of the following areas;

* Natural Language Processing – parsing, semantics, meaning extraction
* Information Storage and Retrieval – scalable database and index design, web-crawling
* Cognitive Algorithms – neural networks, genetic algorithms, statistical modeling
* Distributed and Grid Computing – parallel computing application design

Top candidates will have practical experience programming in C, C++ and/or C#, working in Windows and Linux operating systems, and creating databases in MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server. Candidates would ideally have earned degrees in Computer Science, Math, Linguistics or another related scientific field. Graduate experience is a plus – both theory and practical knowledge will be evaluated. Experience designing, developing, and running large scale, distributed systems is recommended. Applicants should be prepared to write code, demonstrate an understanding of applications through code walk-throughs, and be able to draft designs for new systems during the interview.

Hmmmm…. Writing code in the interview. I must be a lightweight – I rarely can perform in such situations. That is – unless – the interview is at 1:30 in the morning, I have not slept in three days and I was downing my 18th Diet Mt. Dew in the previous 8 hours.
