Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust
Building better lives for America’s disabled veterans
The Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust tries to pick up where government programs leave off. The way they work is by making grants to non-profit and charitable organizations that help to support disabled veterans and their dependents. In modern warfare more service members are surviving horrific battle wounds that they could not have survived in previous wars because of the improvements in battlefield medicine, medical evacuations and post-evacuation treatment. However, in a grim twist of fate these survivors are often left disabled. This makes the job of organizations like the DAV very important. They even encourage small donations of $5-$10, which can make a difference - so go make a difference!
