In the 1980’s I had the unique opportunity to serve in the military with the 10th Special Forces Group. No, I did not go to the Q course, but I did have a chance to work with many of the “quiet professionals” for almost three years. The Special Operations warrior is a very important part of the military force structure and all branches have units that are deployed on unconventional missions. It was with great interest that I found the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) who provides scholarships to the sons and daughters of fallen Special Operations warriors.   Over 100 children received over $900,000 last year in grants towards their education.  The foundation not only offers grants, but education on how to cover educational expenses to SOF families and their children.  So, as Veteran’s Day approaches - take a moment to donate to the SOWF - they take PayPal!
