Baby Shower Equality
The baby shower has been the domain for women only for the longest time; however, equality between the sexes continues every day. The old fashioned passing out of cigars to good old male friends upon the visit of the stork is being replaced by baby showers that include the less-fair sex. Now it is common for you to see men buying baby shower party decorations office to celebrate the impending delivery of a friend’s new family member. (hey - it generally means free cake, right?), I am beginning to hear rumors about guys getting together outside of the office too. Even at my advanced age - I am well beyond child bearing years (okay, 41…) - I have friends who are preparing for that next stage of life - parenthood. Guys can especially relate to a Radio Flyer Red Wagon Baby Shower - not to say many women wouldn’t appreciate the classic wagon theme. The practicality of giving the baby something they can actually use when they are growing up shouldn’t make the theme any less fun, but honestly - who did not play with a little red wagon at sometime in their childhood?
