Cambrian House
A couple of weeks ago I went back to Cambrian House - a place to vet your ideas and get feedback on them. It is an interesting forum for presenting and reading ideas. I have seen some original ideas, but I wonder how many people are really going to expose their truly brilliant ideas in an open forum. Especially ideas that have very low barriers to entry, like many of the website ideas. Still, it is fun and interesting - I would encourage you to visit it and vote on the ideas.
Today, I saw a strangely familiar idea:
For Websites who want to make MONEY off ads but don’t want in your face ads that take away from the content of the website the Search Ads is a Advertising Program that scans your site for keywords and then embeds intext ads right into the content of the website. Unlike Adwords and Banner ads our product is not in your face and dose not take away from your web experience.
Very cool. I am working with some partners on actually implementing that exact idea - the project is called Links in Context. Still in BETA for now, but we are hoping for a kick off of the service sometime this summer.
