I just received three invite codes for the Arkayne Widget – still in BETA at the moment. If you have not noticed, I have been using Arkayne for a long time. Look down at the bottom of this post (not on the front page – go to the individual post) and you will see a list of related links. You might think “Big deal! Related link plug-ins for WP have been around longer than sub-prime mortgages.” – to which I would agree. But they all have a common problem – the related links are only from within your own blog. Arkayne pulls related links not only from your blog, but from all other blogs that are using the Arkayne widget. They crawl your page and find other pages that are related – the idea being that related links across blogs will improve traffic by connecting relevant blogs at the post level – not the simple BlogRoll level.

The cross blog process is not up to speed yet, but will be in the near future. And Arkayne will be yet another way to passively monetize your blog or website, as they will be selling advertising that is displayed in the Arkayne widget. Relevant advertising.
