Courtney – I feel your pain – FP seems to be unable to manage the process effectively. I just let the cost of membership be a lesson to myself. To make up for it, I just upgraded my LinkedIn account – a membership worthy of spending money.

I have experienced the same thing and when I went back to get the charge credited back to my account, FP alleges they have done so with PayPal but PayPal says they denied the claim and have closed my case with NO CREDIT!!! I have contacted “Rich” directly and again alleges it will be credited, it takes PP a “while” to credit back… PP credits IMMEDIATELY!!! I have used them for years.

Furthermore, I asked to have my profile removed on multiple ocassions, TO NO AVAIL!!! AND… get this… I still show up under a free service as I did not “click” the upgrade… I was NOT to be automatic but prompted as a reminder.

This guy is a rip off artist and found the PP loop-hole. DON’T GIVE HIM ANY MORE MONEY OR HE WILL TAKE IT ALL AND RUN WITH IT WHEN YOU’RE NOT LOOKING!!!!

OH, BEST OF ALL THE PHONE IS DISCONNECTED AND EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE IGNORED AS OF MY LAST ATTEMPTS TODAY!!!

Rich – I appreciate your feedback! I will probably expand on your comments in a full blog posting. However – I don’t believe I EVER said that I had “get rich quick” expectations. I think the numbers speak much louder and I certainly did expect more than nine visitors. It was also disturbing that they canceled my Platinum account, even though I had JUST paid for the entire quarter.

I understand your frustration, but perhaps there are other factors at play here – for example – the actual blog content and whether is meshed with users interest.

Also, even though your message was sent to the inbox of the users – not all users login every day. In fact, on most social networks – users login once or twice a month, and sometimes not for weeks… so your message still may reap results.

Third, I think its unfair to think that simply “posting” the blog on the homepage was enough. If you spend time on FP, and build a network and relationships and invested more time into networking – there would be more benefits.

Its shocking to me how people believe the “get rich quick” expectation – it takes more then $100 and a blog article to make you business or blog shoot to the moon. You need to invest time, effort and build real value – and you will reap rewards.

I think your blog is unfair – but I understand you expectations were not met – which is always frustrating.

if you would like – I can talk to them, and get your blog featured again at no cost, and perhaps try some different things to push traffic. I can’t guarantee better results, but perhaps we can do what we can to show our effort and concern.
