Psolenoid question – Finding Other Blogs

I have a question for the Psolenoid team or anyone else that might have an answer. How do I find other blogs using Psolenoid?

I know about the Psolenoid blog. I can log into my account and find blogs that have wired to my blog. And that is it. Any plans for a directory of users (Opt-In of course)? Then I can find blogs that are using Psolenoid that share my interests. Otherwise, Psolenoid is kind of dead in the water without some major trusted sites pushing the use of Psolenoid.

Sorry for sounding negative, just a concern that might help increase adoption across blogs and other websites.

  • Yes. I have the same question, and it seems that it´s been a year, and still no help regarding this subject. Guess I´ll be also removing Psolenoid completely if I don´t see any real advantage from it.

I have this same question. I just put it on my blog and I don't see how it can help. I thought the "wires" or other blogs using psoleniod were searchable. Right now, it seems like the only way for me to find other users is to troll a whole bunch of blogs and see if they happen to use psoleniod. I will likely remove this from my blog as it just seems like the extra clutter on my comments doesn't come with any real payoff.

urgh, I noticed that when I activated psolenoid on my blog, it somehow changed the disqus comment feature so that now all my comments say "view comment" instead of "leave a comment" or "[a number] comments." I totally removed psoleniod hoping that would fix it. No luck. I went in the disqus to see if my settings were right...I wish they had been wrong, but they were right. My preferences note that it should say "leave a comment" and "[a number] comment." But, for some reason that's not working. As an amateur with a new blog on tumblr, I suggest to other amateurs stay away from psolenoid. I'm sure if I had some level of html knowledge and/or higher techie background, I could fix this. But, I don't and now I'm stuck with the problem.

double "Urgh," totally buggy thing...I just realized that after I clicked on psolenoids "totally remove from my website" it totally removed my graphics for my background image.

I've re-loaded the image that I was using for my background and wouldn't you know it, it still won't show up. I'm guessing the thing did something screwy to my html code. Again, my advice to anyone who doesn't know html or is a "hobbiest"...stay way from psolenoid.

I suspect I'll have to hire someone to fix this.
  • Eric, Ethan Gahng from Great question! Psolenoid helps bloggers find other blogs and related posts whenever a blogger wires their post to your post. The idea is that you can navigate through a string of related posts and find new and related conversations/blogs. Right now since we just launched, the span of existing wires may not be that long, but over time expect these wires to grow as Psolenoid is distributed and very easily activated. I can't say too much about it right now, but in the future we'll be releasing additional features that will help Psolenoid users increase the ease of discovering new blogs. I hope this answered your question. Thanks!
